Grammarly recently announced that it is working with Samsung to integrate its spell-checking software into Samsung devices. The new feature will be added to the existing Samsung Keyboard and will be available starting November 2021.
In the announcement, the company has also specified that the new features would be integrated into the native Samsung keyboard on devices that are running at least OneUI 4.0.
Grammarly states that “grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, conciseness, and other Grammarly writing suggestions” will be available and that it will not require any additional app. To unlock more features, a premium subscription is required, but Samsung users will get a 90-day free trial.
The functionality will initially be integrated into the keyboard of the Samsung S21 model, but support for other devices will come in the months following the feature’s release.
Could we see Grammarly coming to other Android keyboards in the future or even iPhone’s keyboard? It’s not yet clear, but anything that can help improve people’s conversations is always a good thing.
